Mental Health Programs, Behavioral Health – Strategic Behavioral Center
Strategic Behavioral Center offers a structured, therapeutic, and safe environment for adolescents and children who need a high level of care for their psychiatric or behavioral challenges. We offer various different programs to fit the needs of your teen.
Our PRTF is an intensive moderate to long term residential care which provides active treatment in a safe, structured, therapeutic environment for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances, substance abuse, or mental illness. These services are provided with safety, monitoring, and treatment as priority focuses to help youth develop skills to succeed in less-restrictive, permanent settings. Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) used include Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), “Seven Challenges” and principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Best Practices include the use of the Good Lives Model and Pycho-Education material of “Why Try”.
This program provides long-term treatment in a residential, secured facility for youth ages 12-17, who have a DSM-V Psychiatric Diagnosis and are experiencing serious mental health or behavioral problems that impair their ability to participate in their schools, their communities, and in their home.
Our goal is to help children and adolescents who are suffering from emotional and behavioral health problems. We help to them to stabilize and improve their clinical status. We work closely with referral sources, families, and community agencies to return them to their daily activities in their homes, schools and community.
